In the new movie “Precious” Mariah Carey was instructed by director Lee Daniels to leave the makeup and diva act at home. She was playing a frumpy social worker and he wanted her to look the part. He even told her if she showed up with a stitch of makeup on, she would be replaced by another actress. So she did as she was told and this was the outcome.
