“Entourage” actor, Jeremy Piven, must testify before the Actors’ Equity Committee tomorrow to determine the validity of his excuse for leaving the Broadway production of “Speed The Plow”. It was no secret that Piven was not happy with his role in the play, and then when he abruptly quit with the excuse of “mercury poisoning” it raised some eyebrows. Piven claimed that his constant consumption of eating too much sushi caused a rise in his mercury levels, but the producers of the play weren’t buying it.
If Piven is found guilty by the Committee, it gives the producers the right to sue him for breach of contract in a civil court.
