A U-Haul trailer was used to transport an obese Genoa man to Cayuga County Court this morning so he could be arraigned on charges of selling drugs out of his home. Stephen Turo, 56, of 1138 Maple St., says he weighs about 570 pounds. At noon, the truck he was transported in was backed up to the loading dock ramp at the Old Post Office on Genesee Street. When Turo didn’t appear in court last week, Cayuga County Judge Thomas G. Leone told Turo’s lawyer Turo must get to the courthouse in Auburn to be arraigned on charges contained in a sealed indictment. Leone said he would not arraign Turo at his home, but the judge offered to conduct the arraignment in the courthouse parking lot.
Is this were I make a joke about him not being a flight risk?
This guy must have dealt a literal ton of pot from his house. It takes a serious case of the munchies to get that damn fat. Funniest part is they held his arraignment in the parking lot. I think a drive-through would have been more appropriate.
Obese man had to take rental truck to court
