The remake of Friday The 13th did well at the box office over the weekend. The new slasher flick earned estimated sales of $42.2 million, which set a record for the largest horror movie opening ever.

While this movie does look like a hot slasher flick, it’s been done before. Has Hollywood really run out of ideas that they have to constantly make remakes of old movies? It seems like a cop out. Furthermore it seems blasphemous. How can you make a copy better than the original? But apparently someone likes it as the gorey thriller movie stole the number 1 slot away from “He’s Just Not That Into You“. Apparently everyone is into Jason now.
