This is one band you’ll wanna check out if you like bands with a unique sound. They’re called “Dead Confederate”. They’re a bit hard to classify other than damn good! So we sat down with them for an interview and this is how it came out.

Epic Bull: Please introduce yourselves and describe a little about your band and what the sound is?

Dead Confederate: We are Dead Confederate and we play an interpretation of rock and roll music. We have 2 guitars, a bass, a drumset and keyboards. It can often be loud.

EB: I’ve noticed that you’ve had many accolades from such media outlets as Rolling Stone, SPIN, The New York Times, and Blender Magazine. Where would you like to see the band 5 years from now?

DC: Just continuing to make records. Touring across the globe and writing and recording will make all of us very happy men.

EB: What are some of your musical influences? Who inspires you to write?

DC: No one inspires me to sit down and write music. Inspiration comes from the inside I’m pretty sure. But as far as influences in the sound, they are all over the place. We all listen to lots of music. Old, new, psych, country, hip hop…everything.

EB: I’ve noticed that you are on tour right now and a list of your shows can be seen on your MySpace page. What can fans expect to see at a Dead Confederate show?

DC: !!!!!!!!!hair and volume!!!!!!!!!

EB: There was something on your MySpace about donating to the Georgia Theater? What is that all about?

DC: The Georgia Theatre burned down back in June. We have played a few benefit shows to raise money to rebuild it and we figured having a donation spot on our page couldn’t hurt. Pleeze give!

EB: Thank you for taking the time out of your busy tour schedules to chat with our EpicBull readers today. Any parting words for us?
