We just had the pleasure of emailing with Starting Over, who is a pop punk band that is climbing up the popularity scale quite fast. We chatted with Tyler their bassist/vocalist and this is how the interview went.

EpicBull: Hello Starting Over, thanks for the chat today. Please introduce yourselves and your band to our readers.

Starting Over: Hello I am Tyler and I sing and play bass in a pop punk band called Starting Over!

EB: I read on your MySpace that you have some shows coming up. What would the audience expect to see at a Starting Over show?

SO: Yes we are actually going out on a 20 date east coast tour in the Aug. As for what you can expect to see at a Starting Over show is just a straight up rock show! We put everything we’ve go into our live show and we love to change it up and make each show diffferent every night.

EB: You have an EP coming out soon, is there a set release date on that and how many tracks will it feature?

SO: Yes we do, the new ep comes out on Sept 1st and there are 7 brand new tracks that I cant wait for all of you to hear :)

EB: Will this EP be available on iTunes when it comes out and where else can people find your music?

SO: Yes actually the EP will drop on itunes on Sept 1st you can also pick up our EP as well as our brand new shirts at any of our shows!

EB: Your MySpace page describes you as a pop punk band. Who are some of your musical influences?

SO: Yes our band has a pop punk sound overrall but my musical influences honestly come from everywhere I love and listen to all types of music.

EB: Your music sounds a bit like Green Day, would that be a fair comparison?

SO: Yeah for sure, a lot of people compare us to Green Day.

EB: If you could go out on tour with any band, past or present, whom would you choose?

SO: That’s a good one hmmm if we could tour with any band ever I would prolly definitely want to tour with Blink 182, Green Day, and prolly Fall Out Boy just because there are the biggest bands of our genre.
