The lawmakers of the bankrupt State of California just may be encouraging its citizens to light up. Democratic State Assembly member Tom Ammiano has proposed that marijuana be the cash crop that gets the state out of its financial hardship. He wants to legalize pot and make it state taxable so that they can get revenues off the $14 billion a year industry. It would certainly help with the state budget.
