David Beckham signed a “dream deal” that will have him playing for both the AC Milan Major League Soccer team and the LA Galaxy. Becks will be staying in Italy until June after which he comes back to LA to play for the Galaxy. Being away from his family for months at a time wasn’t apparently a factor in signing the deal since Beckham is even chipping in $3 million of his own money to fund the deal.
Beckham was quoted as saying, “I’m really grateful to the LA Galaxy and AC Milan for making this dream deal happen. It allows me to play for AC Milan and the LA Galaxy in the same year, and also to continue my commitment to develop soccer in the United States, which is something I am passionate about.”
