After missing out half of the season while being on loan to AC Milan, David Beckham was booed as he returned to play with the LA Galaxy. Ironically, the Galaxy was playing AC Milan – the team he spent the last 5 months with. The game ended up as a 2-2 tie, but not before Beckham had a confrontation with an unruly fan. The hardcore fan section displayed signs that read: “Go home fraud” with a red slash through his No. 23 jersey number. Another one of the signs said, “23: Repent,” while another read, “Hey Becks, Here Before You, Here After You, Here Despite You.” Yet another read, “Is evil something u are…or something u do.”

After the match, David Beckham was quoted as saying: “I’m not disappointed. It doesn’t affect me. You can’t be liked by everyone.”
