Someone behind the scenes of “American Idol” should be fired! It seems that since they have 13 finalists this year instead of the regular 12, they do not have the rights to the 13th sequenced phone number in their series, and instead a very clever phone sex company snatched it up!

The show owns the numbers 1-866-IDOLS-01 through 1-866-IDOLS-12, but 1-866-IDOLS-13 is already owned by the adult company and they can’t get it back. So the producers of the show are scrambling to get a number for Anoop Desai tonight, their 13th finalist.
