After Jay Leno has stepped down as the host of The Tonight Show and late night talk show host, Conan O’Brien has taken over, the show’s ratings have been in the toilet. With Jay Leno as the host, the show has had the #1 late night ratings and has outperformed The Late Show With David Letterman ever since 1995 when Hugh Grant made his famous scandalous appearance. But now that Conan has taken over the show, David Letterman has the leg up on ratings.

According to the Nielson ratings, The Late Show “delivered a 2.4/06 in households with an average of 3.45m viewers, up +14% in households (from 2.1/05) and +17% in viewers (from 2.95m) compared to the same week last year” and “as up +10%=2 0in adults 25-54 (1.1/04 from 1.0/04), +14% in adults 18-49 (0.8/03 from 0.7/03) and even in adults 18-34 (0.5/02) compared to the same week last year.”

So which do you prefer? Conan on The Tonight Show or Dave on The Late Show?
