In a recent interview with the LA Times, David Sonenberg, manager of “American Idol” Judge, Paula Abdul has announced that she may not return for a 9th season: “She’s not a happy camper as a result of what’s going on. She’s hurt. She’s angry.”

So what is going on with AI? Well it turns out that host Ryan Seacrest has just inked a deal with the show that is making him $15 million a year – a far cry from Abdul’s $2.5 million. So unless the producers offer Abdul a better, more competitive deal, she is going to launch her own talent audition show as a direct competition with Idol.
